Yoga’s physical postures and exercises, or Asanas, have stood the test of time by bringing good health, vibrant energy and well-being to those who practice them. This ancient practice is also ideal for helping us release the stress and tension we all experience in our busy lives. Anyone can practice Hatha Yoga, regardless of age, body type, or fitness level. This form of exercise respects your limitations while challenging your boundaries. The Lotus Garden Meditation Center provides a relaxing, non-competitive environment where your yoga practice can evolve.
This practice will not only help you stay fit and firm, but it also provides innumerable benefits to the internal systems of your body—like the respiratory, nervous, circulatory, and muscular systems—improving your health from the inside out. You will gently loosen stiff joints while stretching and strengthening your muscles. And because of the profound effects the asanas have on the nervous system, you’ll find it easier to relax and let go of stress. So try it out—you’ll be rewarded almost immediately with greater energy and well-being.
What is Yoga?
Yoga is an ancient art meant for achieving union, harmony and happiness—harmony with our own bodies and minds, harmony with other living beings, harmony with our environment and ultimately, harmony and
happiness through union with the Supreme. Yoga asanas, breathing techniques and so on, are just a small part of the complete process of yoga. Practicing these techniques can help you achieve a state of being that is conducive to the higher pursuits of the yoga system, such as meditation and self-realization.
At Lotus Garden Meditation Center you will be able to explore and find for yourself the benefits, inner satisfaction, and wisdom that come from the practice of this ancient art called Yoga.
