MUSIC + MEDITATION

Kirtan is a group meditation unlike any you've experienced before! Kirtan is a time honored meditation practice that fuses sacred sounds with music and sends you to a transcendental realm far beyond this material world. It’s soulful. It’s lively, and it’s anything but boring.

Practiced with a variety of instruments and musical styles, kirtan is a call-and-response singing of ancient, sacred mantras (easy to follow, even if the mantras are new to you), with everyone present singing, listening, dancing, and swaying to the music. It's uplifting, stress-relieving, laid-back, and fun!

Gems of Wisdom from the Bhagavad Gita

7225 Lincoln Ave. Carmichael, Ca 95608 (On hold soon - Final class on 3/14)

Free, Pre-Register here.

The Bhagavad Gita is an ancient text, full of wisdom that can guide our modern lives and help us to live a more meaningful life. Written down 5,000 years ago and passed on orally before that, it is the most widely read and revered literature on attaining transcendental knowledge and spiritual awakening from the ancient yoga teachings.

You are invited to hear this wisdom in a casual and welcoming environment. Each week, Narada Muni das, a longtime student of Bhagavad Gita, will move through the book a few verses at a time, allowing time for Q/A and Kirtan.

No previous knowledge or experience is required and you may begin attending at any time.

If you would like to follow along with your own copy (optional), we will have books available for purchase for $3-$10. If bringing your own, be sure to have the version called Bhagavad-gita as-it-is by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami. You may also want to bring a notebook and pencil.

*Important note: Please do not come to our programs if you are not feeling well or have any symptoms of sickness.
