What is fuzz? Fuzz is the nickname for your sticky, tricky, and beautiful fascia (connective tissue) that allows you to move, breath, your heart to beat, and your body to slide and glide (or not) through your day to day life.

Body rolling is the equally beautiful technique that helps you hydrate and make healthy the fuzz that holds you together (fuzz or connective tissue is the most pervasive tissue in your entire body!!!).

When you sleep your fuzz gets fuzzier. When you walk or sit or move with a habitual pattern your fuzz get’s fuzzier in the areas that aren’t moving. Healthy fuzz is juicy and highly hydrated. Unhealthy fuzz is sticky, stuck, and prevents your body from being adaptable and able to resist injury.

In this introductory course to “freeing the fuzz” here’s how you’ll benefit:

  • Relaxation – Create immediate and long term changes in your nervous system.
  • Decrease muscle tension – Begin to change long held patterns of tension and pain in your body.
  • Increased range of motion – Improve circulation to all of your tissue and promote healthy range of motion in shoulders, hips, feet, ankles, and your spine.
  • Promotion of overall health – Breathe deeper and help align your spine for better posture and core support. Walk tall and fear nothing 😉

You’ll learn and be guided through multiple routines that you can do on a daily basis. Gain access to downloadable instructions for each routine so you won’t forget and be exposed to a sweet and potent mindfulness practice to support your growing awareness of your body and how the fuzz can either work for you or not.

Body rolling is a beautiful compliment to any Pilates, yoga or movement practice and a simple way to regain and maintain physical, mental, and emotional vitality.

Chantill is a master teacher and an expert at guiding her students to a deeper understanding of their bodies, helping them to find ease and comfort in everyday life.

Join us for "Nia", a unique blend of dance, yoga, Chi Gong and Aikido, that promotes energy, strength and well-being.
Done barefoot, Nia's grounded approach maximizes body efficiency and teaches you to consciously move in a gentler way. The result is improved muscle tone, increased flexibility and endurance, and a calmer mind.
Nia blends the expressiveness of dance, the power of martial arts, and the wisdom of the healing arts. The guided practice creatively encourages students to move in ways that are natural to their bodies. Classes are adaptable to every age and fitness level.
Your instructor this month is Kelly Fitzgerald-Holland. Kelly holds a black belt in The Nia Technique. Since 1994, Kelly has been studying African-inspired dance and other movement forms, including belly dance, Sufi techniques, tribal-dance, tai chi, and yoga.
