Margaret (Raw Food Classes) Margaret Gomes became very ill all of a sudden about 3 years ago, when she was diagnosed with a serious blood infection, systemic candida, fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. Every part of her body ached with pain and she tried various conventional and alternative medicines to try to alleviate the pain and improve her health. But no matter what she did, Margaret’s body could not absorb any nutrients and convert them into energy and life. She was starting to think that she would have to spend the rest of her life in this painful, diseased body.
Frustrated and depressed, she started researching different dietary options and one day, by pure chance, came across Victoria Boutenko’s book, 12 Steps to Raw Foods. She bought the book. After reading the book Margaret decided to give raw food a try … 100%. That was back in April of 2009, and guess what happened? It worked. Within 2 weeks, her energy level changed, her pain diminished, and her physical need to sleep all the time changed too. It was amazing. Margaret’s family and friends couldn’t believe the difference … she went from not being able to walk up stairs to exercising every day in a matter of months. In June 2010, Margaret went to Living Light Culinary Arts Institute in Fort Bragg, California to complete a Raw Food Chef and Instructor training certification. Margaret completed the Raw Food Essentials, Fundamentals of Raw Living Foods, Knife Skills and the Associate Chef and Instructor Training. She is now teaching in various locations around Sacramento and holds monthly talks and workshops here at Lotus Garden Robert (Tai Chi)
