MeditationThe practice of meditation soothes away stress, and allows you to experience a new feeling of health, gradually leaving behind tension headaches, high blood pressure, indigestion, ulcers, and insomnia. However, improving your health, important as it is, is relatively insignificant when compared to the primary benefits of practicing meditation. Through meditation you can actually become free from anxiety and feelings of inner emptiness. Ultimately, you can achieve self-realization: you can come to know who you are, what real peace is, and how to transcend the problems of this world. Through meditation you can experience your relationship with the Supreme—the Absolute Truth. Experience for yourself the happiness and inner peace that comes through the practice of meditation. Our beginning meditation classes will teach you simple, enjoyable, and effective processes of meditation to add to your daily life. Experience the sound of yoga in an evening of Mantra Meditation with music, and a class in self-discovery based on the ancient wisdom of India. In line with tradition, all of our meditation classes, programs and retreats are offered free of charge. Experience Kirtan at our Friday and Sunday evening programs. Sunday 4:30-8pm. Includes philosophy talk and a vegetarian dinner. Friday 6:30-8pm. Includes guided relaxation. |
